It is very popular in the Punjab state of India. I learnt this trick from an Afghani student. She loved methi pooris and made them using a polythene sheet. Makki ka atta /maize flour is widely consumed in the state of Punjab and this makki and mooli ka paratha is also a Punjabi specialty.
Instructions to make Makki/ maize methi dosa:
- Take a big bowl add all ingredients one by one and with water make a smooth lump free batter
- Heat and Grease non stick tawa. Mix eno with sprinkle water in the batter.spread a ladle full batter spread on tawa when it seems colour change again sprinkle oil on it and flip the side crisp both sides on a low flame.make all dosa like that
- When u spread batter the flame should be slow otherwise difficult to spread in round shape. Serve hot with chutney, pickle or butter a the curd.
This makki mooli ka paratha is quite easy to make as I have added some wheat flour in it and grated mooli is added in the dough so no fuss of stuffing ,just add. Radish is the least liked vegetable in my house; maybe its the strong flavor that turns my kids away, but when it comes to makki mooli and methi ke parathe - they are always ready!! Other than methi thepla, I rarely make aloo methi.
