  1. Heat oven to 350 F or 175 c Butter and flour the Madeleines baking tins.   2. Fill the mixture in an icing bag to make it easier to fill the Madeleines tins. (yes this recipe needs the special tins) Fill 2/3 way through and bake for 11-13 minutes till done. Flip on a cooling rack and let them cool off. Dust with powdered sugar Or better yet with orange

Madeleines are a delightful little French butter cake. Their light sponge texture with crispy buttery edges makes them irresistible! Madeleine is a small butter cake in beautiful shell shape. I love Madeleines but I have never attempted to bake them at home. I would buy them at Costco, Starbucks, bakery or patisserie.
