- Pour some oil in a sauce pan and place on your cooker, allow to heat then put bay leaf or two into the oil, let sizzle for some minutes then take it out.
- Pour in chopped onions, ginger,garlic into the oil and fry until golden brown in colour then add your minced meat and seasonings, cover sauce pan to steam.
- When beef is almost done,add diced potatoes and diced carrots,cover sauce pan to continue steaming.
- When potatoes and carrots are a bit steamed then add your spring onion and put off the heat then cover to steam for a while then allow sauce to cool before using.
- When sauce cooled, roll out the dough on a lightly floured board.
- Cut into fairly large rounds, put some sauce on one half of each pastry.
- Damp the edge with beaten egg, fold pastry over to form a half circle. Press the edges together securely with a fork.
- Brush with beaten egg and prick top with toothpick.
- Arrange on greased baking tray and bake in a moderately hot oven for about 20-40mins.
