  7. Take 6-8 black pepper
  8. Get 2 spoon watermelon seeds
  9. Prepare 6-7 strand saffron
  10. Get 8-10 dried rose petals
  11. Make ready 3/4 cup sugar
  12. Take 1 litre milk

It is a traditional drink, popular in the northern parts of India. Its made with a mix of dry fruits, seeds and a few spices. Thandai is a traditional drink popular in UP and some parts of Rajasthan. It has a cooling effect on the body and hence the name Thandai.

Instructions to make Thandai:
  1. Take a mixture grinder jar and add cashew, pistachio,almond and other Ingredients given.
  2. Now grind untill it turns into Powdered form. - - Now add into air tight container to store it.
  3. Now take a heavy bottom pan and add milk to it.now add sugar and boil this milk until it reduces half.
  4. Then add thandai masala to it and mix well.
  5. Now chilled thandai and serve in kullad.

Prepared with milk and a lot of dry fruits, this drink is very refreshing, and a perfect summer cooler. Thandai is a perfect Holi recipe to relish and what makes it indulgent is the amalgamation of ingredients like milk, almonds, saffron strands and sugar in the right proportions.
